August came to an end and this does not only mean that summer is (finally) almost over, but also that it’s time for my first ever music related post. As I mentioned in the previous one, today you get a playlist with all the songs I listened to this month.

To be completely honest, August is an awful month for me to start this series. At the beginning of the month I came across Wait for it by Leslie Odom Jr. Some of you might already recognize it, but for the rest of you, it’s from the musical Hamilton. I quite liked it and decided to give the whole soundtrack a chance. Well, by now I lost count on how many times I listened to the complete 2-hour-monstrosity. You could say, that I’m a teeny tiny bit obsessed.

During my roadtrip last week, I got around to listen to some other music (don’t worry, Hamilton was played as well), so there are at least a few other songs I can show you. Some are very fitting for a roadtrip, for example Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts or Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran. I mean, is there a more perfect time to drive 90 down those country lanes than a roadtrip? I don’t think so and yes, I do know how lame that joke was, you don’t have to tell me.

We also had a short-lived german-rap-phase, so there are a couple of those on the playlist as well alongside generally more chilled songs and a tiny amount of Disney.

What songs did you listen to this month? Let my know.

Love, Jacky N.
